The Department of Health is seeking to identify supplier(s) capable of supplying to the Commonwealth of Australia (represented by the Department of Health) and each State and Territory, with one or more of the eight essential vaccines including - Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, diphtheria Tetanus acellular pertussis (dTpa) vaccine, Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine, Measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV) vaccine, monovalent varicella vaccine (Varicella), Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV), hepatitis B (hepB) vaccine and Meningococcal C (MenC) vaccine.
The Department of Health is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of national immunisation policies and programs on behalf of the Commonwealth. The Department of Health has implemented a Coordinated Vaccine Procurement Arrangement with the States and Territories, which aims to secure an assured supply of essential vaccines to the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
The Department’s standard requirements are located within Clause 5.
The proposed initial term of the Vaccine Agreement is three (3) years from execution, with two (2) options for extension of up to two (2) years each.
