Scientific Computing, Data Hardware and Associated Services Panel
The intention of this Tender process is to establish a Standing offer panel with Suppliers who are capable and experienced in providing and supporting top supercomputer facility and systems globally. This Panel will provide CSIRO with streamlined access to essential Goods and Services required to achieve CSIRO’s scientific research goals.
The new panel will include the following broad categories of Scientific compute, data hardware and Associated Services:
a. Scientific compute hardware such as blade servers and chassis, and rack mounted systems
b. Data hardware including massively scalable data storage solutions
c. Interconnects and Storage Fabrics
d. Scientific Compute Software
e. Associated services such as configuration, installation, support services such as monitoring hardware failure and technical support.
f. Provision of externally hosted HPC capability as a utility service
Mandatory requirements:
Suppliers must provide evidence that shows they have supplied Goods and/or Services to one of the supercomputer centres that operate HPC facilities in the Top500 or Green500 (https://www.top500.org) during the previous 5 years.
or
Tenderers must provide evidence that they have supplied similar types of Goods and/or Services as requested under this panel in support of High Performance Computing and Data installations/systems during the previous 5 years. This can include HPC facilities used in research organisations, defence related industry, education sector, banking and financial or other industries where HPC capability is utilised.

The estimated time frame for establishment of the Panel is September 2018.
Individual orders under the panel may occur at CSIRO's discretion from establishment of the panel for a period of 3 years.
