LAND 200 INFORMATION SESSION AT MILITARY COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS CONFERENCE (MilCIS) 2018
The Information Session will be conducted in Canberra in conjunction with the Military Communication and Information Systems Conference. The Information Session will be conducted by the Capability Manager and the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group.
This Information Session will update industry on progress of the Land 200 Battlefield Command System Program and future Phase 3 requirements. Land 200 is at the heart of Army’s military digital evolution for the 21st century and has been delivering the Battlefield Command System capability into Defence since 2011. This capability provides Army with tactical digital radios and an integrated Battle Management System that is transforming command and control of Land forces from a paper-based system to a modern digital system.
Land 200 will improve the Australian Defence Force’s interoperability with Joint, Allied and Coalition forces. With Phase 1 complete and Phase 2 currently being delivered, Defence is looking to the future at Phase 3 and what will be required to complete the digitalisation of the Land force.
Defence is currently gathering information and analysing industry’s current and potential capability and capacity to provide support to LAND 200 Phase 3, including development, manufacture, integration, supply, adaptation, sustainment and disposal of BCS mission systems.
Vendors who wish to discuss their intentions to be a prime contractor, prime systems integrator (PSI), original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or major systems supplier for this project with representatives of the Capability Manager and the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group are invited to notify such an intent to land200.phase3@defence.gov.au by 4.00pm 9 November 2018. It is envisaged that Defence representatives would meet with vendors at their exhibit over the three days of MilCIS to discuss.
