Description:

PFAS contamination - Information day – Sydney - 30 May 2019.

To mitigate the impact of PFAS contamination the Department of Defence has implemented several remediation initiatives across Australia.

This information day will provide relevant industry remediation services and technology providers with an insight into the scope and scale of the Defence PFAS remediation challenge. Representatives from the Department of Defence will be available to provide advice on how to work with Defence on PFAS remediation, how it will approach the market for remediation solutions and its expectations of industry providers who may partner with Defence to deliver remediation solutions or who are interested in undertaking remediation studies and technology demonstrations.

The session will provide an overview of:

• The PFAS remediation challenges Defence is facing
• The status of current remediation efforts
• The scale and location of planned remediation activities
• The future remediation capabilities Defence is looking for
• Opportunities to partner with Defence on PFAS studies and technology demonstrations
• How to engage with and partner with Defence

This event does not relate to a specific procurement and its intent is to provide industry with an understanding of potential opportunities not to receive offers for remediation solutions. All companies with an interest in PFAS research or remediation are welcome to attend.

Defence will not accept unsolicited proposals at the event, companies will be advised of the types of proposals that will be considered by Defence and the correct process for submission.

Defence will have a series of information stations on the day. Attendees are welcome to attend at any time during the day and should allocate approximately half an hour. No formal presentations are scheduled and attendees are not expected to be present for the whole day.
