Airservices maintains an ARFFS at Brisbane Airport from two (2) existing facilities, Station East and the Satellite Station. Station East provides the ARFFS response to the main runway (RWY01/19) with support provided by the resources at the Satellite Station. The Satellite station provides an initial response to any incident on the converging runway (RWY14/32) with support provided by the resources at Station East.

Brisbane Airport is undertaking a major development that will result in the creation of an additional New Parallel Runway (NPR). This new runway (RWY01L/19R) will be parallel to and approximately 2km to the west of the existing north south runway (RWY01R/19L). The new runway is expected to commence operations in July 2020 at which time the converging runway (RWY14/32) will cease operation.
