The aim of the Next Generation Desktop (NGD) project is to deliver a simplified desktop experience for the end-users, whilst providing the best value for money for Defence.
The ITR is the first stage of the procurement process to deliver the requirements of the Next Generation Desktop (NGD) project. This ITR process may be followed by a select RFT process. It is intended that only short-listed Requestors will be requested to submit tenders in response to any subsequent RFT. The preferred tenderer to any subsequent RFT process will be selected on the basis of value for money.
This ITR comprises:
(a) Part 1 -ITR Conditions;
(b) Part 2 - Information provided to Requestors; and
(c) Part 3 – Information to be provided by Requestors.

A briefing to all interested industry participants will be conducted on 5 May 2010 starting at 1400 hours. Reference Part 1 of the ITR Documentation for further information.
