The Australian Army seeks to further enhance signals training for signals operators. The enhancement to training is expected to provide the ability to simulate modern civilian telecommunications and private networks, including WiFi and Personal Communication Systems (PCS).
The PCS and WiFi training systems are expected to comprise of multiple transportable base stations, with a network of handsets to allow signals to be transmitted according to scripted scenarios.
