The Armoured Fighting Vehicle Facilities Stage 1 Works Package 3 Edinburgh Defence Precinct, SA is a Head Contract Construct Only contract which comprises:
Vehicle Workshop
These Works include a new workshop with a gross floor area of approximately 4783m2 and are to accommodate the following:
- 16 vehicle maintenance bays;
- grit blasting and wash bay;
- engine room hydraulic room for petrol oils and lubricants (POL);
- working accommodation; and
- ablutions and amenities.
- External to the Workshop:
- new precinct including hardstand for parking, temp storage of vehicles in repair (crock park) and circulation;
- provision of 12 trickle charging stations; and
- new High Voltage kiosk,
Pre-Agreed Variation - Simulation Centre
These works include an optional package for a two-story Armoured Vehicle simulation training centre housing the following:
- new two storey Simulation Centre comprising classrooms, lecture theatre, ablutions and amenities, Field Service Representative offices and workspaces;
- External services and carpark;
- new Immersive Tactical Trainer facility for up to 16 containers; and
- new Central Energy Plant.
Industry Briefing Instructions
A virtual industry briefing will be conducted on Friday 18 June 10am (ACT local time). The Contact Officer will issue a meeting invite with a MSTeams link closer to the date

The Design Documents contain Confidential Information. Further information regarding the Tenderer's obligations in respect of Confidential Information is set out in the Disclaimer and Confidentiality Agreement and the Tender Documents.
To obtain these documents, Tenderers are required to download, complete, duly execute and return the Disclaimer and Confidentiality Agreement by email to the Contact Officer.
Sensitive or Classified Information
The whole or any part of the Design Documents contain Sensitive or Classified information.

Building Code 2016
The Building Code 2016 applies. If the Building Code 2016 applies then by lodging a Tender, the Tenderer will become subject to the Building Code 2016.

WHS Accreditation Scheme
The WHS Accreditation Scheme pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth) applies. Further information regarding the WHS Accreditation Scheme is provided in the Tender Documents.
Indigenous Procurement Policy
The Australian Government's new Indigenous Procurement Policy took effect on 1 July 2015. Further information regarding the Indigenous Procurement Policy is provided in the Tender Documents (including, if it applies potential minimum form and content requirements).
Joint Bids
The Commonwealth does offer the Tenderer an opportunity to lodge its Tender on a Joint Bid Basis. Further information regarding Joint Bids is provided in the Tender Documents.
PWC Act
The Works described in the Tender Documents are a "public work" and therefore subject to section 18 of the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth).
PWC Expediency has been obtained.
