Notice of Public Forum on Soil Carbon Data Program

The Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources is holding a public forum on 29 November 2021 to brief industry on two of its programs to support the development of lower cost technological solutions to measure soil organic carbon: the National Soil Carbon Innovation Challenge and the Soil Carbon Data Program. The Innovation Challenge is a grants program that opened a first grant opportunity on 10 November 2021. The Data Program will involve an open tender for the development of tools to support Australia's soil carbon measurement capabilities (APP Reference: 2021/22 - CCD – 005). The forum will provide industry with background to the Data Program and the aims of its planned procurements. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the design of the Data Program, and feedback from participants may be used to further inform that design. Attendance at the forum is not mandatory for participation in the planned procurement.
