Electronic Know Your Customer Facility for Remittances in the South Pacific

The Reserve Bank of Australia invites responses to this Request for Information (RFI) on an electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) Facility for the South Pacific region. The eKYC Facility will provide connected organisations with the capability to verify the identity of their customers against agreed local databases, carry out Anti-Money Laundering /Counter-Terrorism Financing due diligence checks, and generate customised reports.
This RFI process will provide information on the costs and feasibility of implementing an eKYC Facility in the South Pacific for consideration by South Pacific central banks and other interested government and multilateral organisations.
