RFI - Class 8 Contract
The Medical and Dental Logistic Support Services Contract (MDLSSC, also referred to as the “Class 8 Contract”) refers to the delivery of medical and dental logistic support services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). This covers the management of contracts for the provision of Schedule 8 pharmaceuticals, reactive and planned maintenance of MDE across Defence, and warehouse services for equipment, consumables and pharmaceuticals.
The Class 8 Contract provides Defence force elements with services supporting MDE, including maintenance of equipment (for products ranging from heart monitors to patient stretchers), and the preparation and distribution of medical kits (being those provided for ADF personnel for long-term overseas postings, First Aid Kits and General Kits.
In order to accommodate the requirements and timeframes of other dependent Defence contracts that have been identified to progressively incorporate the scope of services currently provided under the Class 8 contract requirements, the Commonwealth is considering its future options for the Class 8 Contract.
The purpose of this questionnaire is for the Commonwealth to gain an understanding of industry’s capacity and interest to undertake Class 8 activities under potentially reduced term and scope arrangements once the current contract concludes in June 2022.
Respondents should complete and provide the information requested in Annex A to this RFI in the manner requested in the Annex, including adhering to the page limit (one page per question).
