Request for tender for the construction of the Gunlom Falls Walking Track in Kakadu National Park
The extent of works of Package 1: Track Construction Contract is limited to the construction of a gravel walking track, with drystone stairs, pads and seats located at rest areas along the track.
The extent of works of Package 2: Track Infrastructure (2a) and Signage (2b) Contract is divided into Package 2a: supply and install of mild steel shelters, hand rails, existing ‘I’ Beam paint treatment, custom mild steel framed seat w/ timber top and aluminium boardwalk, and Package 2b: supply and install of mild steel perforated/lazercut elements (shelter roofs, trailhead panels, handrail panels, cultural storyboard blades), mild steel wayfinding posts, and aluminium panels w/ printed graphic (trailhead interpretation panels, cultural storyboard interpretation panels, wayfinding panels, Parks Australia required signage - TBA).
The works will deliver a fit for purpose, culturally sensitive, and safe walking track for visitors to Gunlom Falls.
The Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time (see paragraph 8.3).
(a) A deed or contract for the Supplies substantially in the form of the Draft Agreement is expected to commence on 4 July 2022 and conclude on 4 July 2023 with an option for the Director to extend for a further 12 months.
