CASA is seeking submissions in response to a request for tender for a Service Provider to implement and manage CASA’s eCommerce service and the warehousing and distribution of items offered for purchase through the eCommerce service.

CASA currently offers approximately 115 products for sale to CASA staff, the aviation industry and the general public. Products range from pads of forms to multimedia products and safety promotional material.

The Service Provider will be required to implement and manage the supply chain for CASA’s products from customer order to delivery and restocking on a fee for service basis.

Current warehouse storage space requirements are approximately 280 Pallets, which is equivalent to 662 cubic metres.  The current Service Provider is holding 240 pallets of CASA materials.

Recent records indicate the following estimated order volumes:

  • 3,601 individual domestic (within Australia) orders and 39 international orders.
  • Total value of orders is approximately $200,000 per year.

The Services being sought include:

 

·       eCommerce/eTail website development, hosting and management;

 

·       Online shopfront and catalogue ordering system with ease of navigation and search functionality for CASA staff, the aviation industry and the general public.  The system must be capable of processing orders via the eCommerce website order form, email, facsimile, postal mail, and telephone;

 

·       Online order tracking, email ordering and shipping customer confirmation notification;

 

·       Computerised inventory restocking, receiving and warehousing;

 

·       Real time inventory management, reporting and analysis (online);

 

·       Provision of best practice online sales and secure money transaction facilities, including customer invoicing and secure funds transfer to CASA;

 

·       Product assembly (Pick-n-Pack);

 

·       Pick-n-Pack and distribution services;

 

·       Quality control; and

 

·       Customer complaints and returns handling.

CASA is looking to set up an agreement with the Service Provider with for an initial term of 3 years, with two x 12 month extension options.
