The Joint Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (JCIED)/Joint Counter Explosive hazards (JCEH)Sub-Program of the Army Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Electronic Warfare (ISREW) Program provides the ADF the ability to Predict, Prevent, Detect, Neutralise, Mitigate and Exploit Explosive Hazards (EH) across the spectrum of operations. It is integrated and systematic in approach, synchronising effort at the Strategic, Operational and Tactical levels to outpace threats, in partnership with other Whole-of-Government organisations.
L154-4 is a part of the Sub-Program and is delivering JCIED capability in all four capability segments across the Joint Force: Force Protection Electronic Countermeasures, Search, Neutralisation and Exploitation.
The aim of this RFT is to acquire a range of specialist handheld metallic and non-metallic detectors for use by ADF Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and search personnel as part of the Neutralisation capability segment.
