The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) is responsible for delivering programmes and services that encourage compliance with Australia’s migration and citizenship laws.

DIBP will be undertaking the procurement of services for the Regional Processing Centres on Nauru and Manus, Papua New Guinea as outlined in DIBP’s annual procurement plan (APP DIBP 1415/04 and APP DIBP 1415/05) available on the AusTender website.  The services required are as follows:

Garrison services: management of all services associated with accommodation, facilities and logistics
Welfare services: services aimed at supporting the well-being of each transferee, including a specific set of services provided to transferees under 18 years of age, families and unaccompanied minors
Health care services: all health-related service provisions

The current contracts for garrison, welfare and health services on Nauru and Manus expire on 31 October 2015.  New arrangements must be in place and fully transitioned by this date.

DIBP invited potential suppliers to attend Industry Information Sessions between 3 and 7 November 2014.  Registration for these sessions closed on Friday 31 October 2014.

The Industry Information Sessions aimed to inform the industry of DIBP’s intention to undertake a procurement process for services in Regional Processing Centres and the upcoming release of a Request for Tender.

The presentation delivered at the sessions is now available.  Questions from potential suppliers can be submitted to the OIDS@immi.gov.au mailbox up to COB 21 November 2014.

DIBP is also interested in feedback from potential suppliers on the upcoming procurement.  All written feedback is due by COB 28 November 2014.  DIBP requests that respondents limit their written feedback to five pages.  Feedback is to be submitted electronically and in writing to OIDS@immi.gov.au.

By providing feedback, your organisation agrees to assign all rights, title and interest to the feedback, and contents of such feedback, to the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth may use the feedback, and any contents of such feedback, in any manner the Commonwealth sees fit, and your organisation will not retain any title, rights or interest to the feedback or contents within, except those which cannot be excluded under law.
