A planetarium/dome system known as the ‘DomeLab’ was used as part of the successful Songlines: Tracking the Seven Sisters  exhibition held at the National Museum of Australia in 2017-18. The National Museum of Australia plans to tour the exhibition from mid-2020 and now has a requirement for a new custom-built system to provide an immersive, ultra-high resolution (4K) dome-based video projection and sound environment for the Songlines tour (‘the Songlines dome’).

Tenderers should provide an outline of their organisation’s ability to deliver the goods and services required under the contract.  Tenderers should provide details of the proposed personnel who will be allocated to the project including their experience and qualifications

The Museum will only consider tenders submitted by:

a.         single legal entities which are in existence at the Closing Time specified in paragraph 8

b.         consortia that have nominated one legal entity that will be the contracting party if the tender is successful or

c.         consortia or joint ventures that undertake to establish a separate legal entity before any contract is signed with the Museum if the tender is successful.

The Museum may reject a tender if it is submitted on the basis that two or more organisations will be jointly and severally liable
