Description:

The Sydney Control Tower is located at Kingsford Smith Airport in Sydney and was constructed in 1996. Over the last 20+ years of service, the control tower has been exposed to environmental conditions that has caused deterioration of the structural elements.

In 2019, an investigation was conducted on the condition of the site; with remediation works proposed to allow the tower to remain in service for a further 25 years. The recommended works from this investigation for the control tower stay rods and concrete buttresses forms the basis for this activity.
