B18 REMEDIATION MINERAL SANDS

As Australia’s national nuclear organisation, the Australian Nuclear Technology and Science Organisation, (ANSTO) has a vision to deliver excellence in innovation through nuclear expertise.
The B18 remediation project will take place in an open-air external storage area on the ANSTO Lucas Heights Science and Technology Campus (LHSTC), in the suburb of Lucas Heights some 35 – 40 km southwest of the centre of Sydney.
The site under contract is located adjacent to the eastern boundary of LHSTC. Over the short term, i.e., 5 to 10 years, the site is anticipated to continue to function as an above ground gas cylinder storage and filling depot and as a general storage area for large equipment. In the medium term, i.e., 10 to 20 years, the site is planned as a publicly accessible open space as part of the ANSTO Innovation Precinct.
The scope of the project is best considered in 3 phases detailed below:
Phase 1 - Provision of Documents by the Contractor
Phase 2 - Site Clearance
Phase 3 - Landscaping
WUC shall start on 14th December 2022 and finish on the 31st March 2023.
