The Department is seeking development, hosting, delivery and promotion of a comprehensive healthcare provider learning package. The objective of the learning package is to increase healthcare provider:

  • awareness of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program, including their role and responsibilities in context of its operation and reporting requirements;
  • engagement with the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program and promotion of patient participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program;
  • understanding of the National Cancer Screening Register operations and their role and responsibilities regards patient follow up and reporting;
  • understanding and awareness of the Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention, Early Detection, and Management of Colorectal Cancer and how this guidance applies to patients’ screening options, including in context of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.

Services required in developing, delivering and promoting a learning package include, at a minimum:

  • Development, delivery and promotion of learning components/content eligible to contribute to the collection of Continuing Professional Development points for healthcare providers.
  • Development, presentation and promotion of a series of face-to-face/virtual learning experiences, educational seminars, webinars and train the trainer sessions.
  • Development, distribution and promotion of a fit-for-purpose tool kit of digital and printable materials to improve healthcare provider knowledge of the NBCSP and relevant bowel cancer related topics.
  • Hosting and maintaining learning package components on an online education hub for at least 1 year (12 months) following contract completion.
  • Preparation of progress reports and a final report that includes an evaluation of the effectiveness and uptake of the learning package.

The Tenderer must be able to obtain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation for learning package content; be able to host and maintain a learning package on an online education hub for at least 1 year (12 months) following contract completion and have demonstrated experience in developing learning materials for healthcare providers.

 

Tender responses must not exceed more than 40 pages in total (including submitted attachments).
