The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is a Federal Government agency that:

• helps grow Australia’s prosperity by delivering quality trade and investment services to businesses

• accelerates growth in Australia’s tourism sector

• promotes Australia’s education to the world.

Austrade delivers government programs to support trade and investment and shares commercial insights to inform government policy.

Southeast Asia (SEA) is central to Australia’s national interests and our partnerships are deep and long?standing. Australia is linked to SEA by more than geography. In addition to our strong family, business, education, and tourism links, we share a vision for a region that is stable, prosperous, and respectful of sovereignty.

Deepening Australia's trade and investment engagement with SEA is a priority for the Australian Government. The Australian Government has released a major new economic strategy to boost trade and investment ties with Southeast Asia, one of the world's fastest-growing regions - Invested: Australia's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.

In response to the Strategy, the Government has funded the Australia Southeast Asia Business Exchange. Austrade will lead this program to support increased two-way trade between Australia and Southeast Asia.

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is seeking a suitable supplier to design and deliver:

1.Requirement One - Southeast Asian Diaspora Mapping project – including demographic trends, business networks and regional engagement

2.Requirement Two - Proposal of actionable diaspora engagement activities to strengthen Australian business engagement with the region– with delivery to be led by either Austrade or the supplier.

Austrade is seeking to appoint one supplier for both Requirements, but supports a consortium approach, with one clear lead supplier, if required.
