Climate Resilient Communities Support Unit
1. Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) is a new DFAT Investment designed for nine years (2024-2033). The first five years is estimated at $208.5 million (2024–29). The Investment is designed to deliver impact so that people in the Indo-Pacific are more resilient to climate change and disasters.
2. DFAT requires a Contractor to establish and manage a Support Unit. The Support Unit contract will be for an initial term of five years (2024-2029) and an initial term value estimated at $70 million. The Support Unit contract will have options to extend for periods of up to a further four years (up to 2033).
3. The Support Unit will support DFAT Canberra and Posts to implement the Investment. The remainder of the Investment funding will co-fund climate resilience programs with DFAT geographic Posts and Desks (which may put in additional funding) and fund an independent Quality Technical and Assurance Group (QTAG).
