This Request for Tender (RFT) is part of the Supply Chain Project (Continuous Sustainment) for the establishment of a supply chain for materiel sustainment and support of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Hobart Class Guided Missile Destroyers (DDGs). The Project covers a range of categories of goods and in some cases services.

As part of this project the Commonwealth is issuing separate RFTs in respect of other supplies required for the sustainment and support of the DDGs.

This RFT covers standing offer arrangements to supply general electrical components for the sustainment and support of the DDGs and, potentially other supplies, goods and services for the sustainment and support of the DDGS, other RAN vessels, wider Defence uses and uses by other Commonwealth Agencies

This RFT covers the supply of general electrical components across 15 subcategories:
1. Air-circulating equipment
2. Automatic data processing & support equipment
3. Batteries
4. Capacitors, resistors, semi-conductors, and diodes
5. Circuit breakers
6. Electrical connectors, lugs, terminals, and terminal strips
7. Electrical control equipment
8. Electrical hardware, components
9. Electrical measuring and testing instruments
10. Fuses and fuse accessories
11. Lighting, lighting fixtures, and lamps
12. Microcircuits, boards, cards, and associated hardware
13. Relays and solenoids
14. Switches
15. Transformers and power and distribution equipment

As a consequence of COVID-19 and in the interests of social distancing, the industry briefing will be conducted via a pre-recorded video. Specific details for the release of the video briefing will be communicated through AusTender.
The standing offer arrangements will have an initial 3 year period and potentially 2 further periods of up to 2 year’s each.
