Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice

DFAT’s objective for AIPJ3 will be “to work in partnership with Indonesia to support effective realisation of legal and justice reforms.”
Indicative EOPOs by November 2029 and policy priorities (italicised) are:
• EOPO 1: key stakeholders implement priority legal and justice reforms that support the rule of law;
1.1 integrity, transparency and accountability within justice institutions
1.2 criminal justice
1.3 commercial law
• EOPO 2: improve policies and practices on preventing violent extremism (PVE) and transnational crime cooperation;
2.1 PVE in prisons, on release and in response to emerging threats
2.2 transnational crime cooperation
• EOPO 3: strengthened human rights through improved gender equality and disability inclusion in justice and security institutions
3.1 equal access to justice for women, children and people with disabilities
3.2 women in leadership.
