Strategic Procurement Outlook
The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) is an independent statutory agency established under the Information Commissioner Act 2010. The OAIC has two main functions: |
·The privacy functions - ensuring proper handling of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and other legislation |
·The freedom of information functions - protecting the public's right of access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982. |
The OAIC has approximately 75 staff, located in Sydney. Purchasing is carried out in some instances jointly with the Australian Human Rights Commission which provides corporate support to the OAIC. |
The OAIC is tendering for the services of a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) to work alongside the OAIC Strategic Communications and Co-ordination team to run the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities Forum and a side conference called Data and Privacy Asia Pacific. |
