Tenders are invited from suitably qualified entities to undertake the role of Managing Contractor for certain works on the basis described in the Request for Tender Documents.

The aim of Project R7096, AIR7000 Phase 2B Facilities Requirements for the Maritime Patrol Aircraft Replacement Capability Project is to provide new and upgraded facilities, infrastructure and airfield works for the introduction of the Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft.

At the time of issuing the Request for Tender, the scope of works is limited to the works at the Main Operating Base at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

The new or refurbished facilities to be constructed at RAAF Base Edinburgh will include administration, operations, simulation and training facilities, aircraft maintenance hangars, workshops to conduct operational level aircraft maintenance, aircraft pavements, aircraft rinse facilities, car parking and associated engineering services.

The Tender Documents will be available from the Tender Administrator.

Applications to receive Tender Documents must be made in writing and applicants will be required to execute Confidentiality Deeds prior to receiving any Tender Documents.

An industry briefing is scheduled for the week commencing 15 June 2015 at RAAF Base Edinburgh.  Details for attendance will be issued to those who register to receive Tender Documents.

To submit a conforming Tender:

·    the Tender must be submitted in accordance with clause 3.1(a) (including submission to the address specified in the RFT by the closing time and date described in the RFT);

·    the Tender must satisfy each minimum form and content requirement in clause 3.1(b); and

·     the Tenderer must satisfy each condition for participation in clause 3.1(c) of the RFT. 

The evaluation criteria are described in clause 4 of the RFT.

The Building Code 2013 applies to this Project. These documents can be viewed at http://www.fwbc.gov.au/building-code

 The Australian Government's Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme pursuant to the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2012 (Cth) and the Fair Work (Building Industry - Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 (Cth) applies to this Project. 

The works described in the Tender Documents are a "public work" and  therefore subject to section 18 of the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth).

The works are anticipated to commence in September 2015 with Completion on or before January 2019
