Project A9017 LAND 500 Phase 1 (the Project) seeks to remediate key facilities gaps in the current Land Electronic Warfare (EW) capability by delivering supporting infrastructure for the deployable EW capability to Signals units at Borneo Barracks, Cabarlah, Queensland and the 2nd Commando Regiment (2 CDO) in Holsworthy, New South Wales.

At the time of issuing this Invitation to Register Interest, the works include the following infrastructure and facilities requirements:

Cabarlah, QLD:

(a) 7th Signals Regiment (7 SIG) - New maintenance, servicing and storage facility; New covered parking bays for 12x Protected Mobility Vehicles (PMV); Upgrade of the existing battery storage facility; New three (3) lane vehicle washpoint; New administration building; New racking system within the armoury to support MAG-58 weapons systems delivered with new PMVs; and Provision of computer equipment and furniture to Building A34.

(b) Defence School of Signals (Electronic Warfare Wing) (DFSS-EW)– Provision of new computer equipment and furniture to four classrooms in Building D40; Provision of an uncovered PMV parking bay to Building D40; Provision of an external platform to enable antennae mounting and cabling into Building D40; Upgrade of Building D20 to enable training activities at ‘Secret' level; Provision of computer equipment and furniture to Building D20; Provision of computer equipment and furniture to Building D31; Provision of three (3) wet weather training sheds.

(c) Tactical Electronic Warfare Systems Program Office (TEWSPO) - Provision of a new three (3) bay storage, workshop and office facility; Provision of new computer equipment and furniture to new workshop facility; and Provision of an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system within Building D36.

Holsworthy, NSW:

(a) 2 CDO – Extension of an existing Top Secret (TS) level building.

These works will be delivered through an Integrated Design and Construct Contract procurement model. A 5% design concept will be provided at time of tender.

The Tender Documents will be available from the Tender Administrator.

Applications to receive Tender Documents must be made in writing either via fax or email.

An industry briefing will not be undertaken during the Invitation to Register stage.

 

Registrants should note that whilst the facilities associated with this project house classified equipment, proposed resources involved in the delivery will not require a security clearance beyond satisfying requirements to access a Defence establishment.

  • the Applicant must not be precluded from tendering for Australian Government funded work or specifically excluded from participating in this registration of interest process.
