Description:

Registrations of Interest are invited from suitably qualified organisations to undertake the role of Head Contractor for the RAAF Base Edinburgh Redevelopment Stage 2 Adelaide SA, Civil Works at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia.

The RAAF Base Edinburgh Redevelopment Stage 2 project comprises two works packages:

(a) AZ4572 - Head Contract Package 1 (HCP1) – Civil Works. This HCP1 works package is the subject of a separate advertisement and Invitation to Register Interest process; and

(b) AZ4573 - Head Contract Package 2 (HCP2) – Building Works.

This AZ4573 – Head Contract Package 2 (HCP2) - Building Works -will provide new and upgraded building facilities for 462SQN, 87SQN, 24SQN, 92WG, a new Air Traffic Control Tower and the demolition of selected surplus facilities.

Construction is expected to commence from November 2009.

The total value of HCP2 - Building Works is estimated to be in the order of $40 - $45 million.

The Invitation to Register Interest document will be available from 16 June 2009. The Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme authorised by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005 (Cth) and the Building and Construction Industry Improvement (Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 (Cth) applies to this contract.
