Tenders are invited from suitably qualified entities to undertake the role of Contractor for certain Works on the basis described in the Tender Documents. 

At the time of issuing the Tender Documents, the Works include the following construction activities at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia:

· asphalt overlay of main runway;

· asphalt overlay of taxiways;

· Supply and installation of AGL, navigation aids and control systems; and

· Construction of a new ALER and sub-station.

At the time of issuing the Tender Documents:

· tenders close 12 noon (Canberra Time) 24 Jul 2014; and

· the Works are anticipated to commence in October 2014 with completion on or before June 2015.

To gain a copy of tender documents:

· You will then be sent a “Disclaimer and Confidentiality Agreement” for signing.

Upon receipt of an executed agreement the RFT documents will be posted to your Business Street Address (PO Boxes will not be accepted).

An Industry Briefing is planned to be conducted at RAAF Base Edinburgh on 25 June 2014.

The following details will be required for up to three of the Tenderer personnel that will attend the industry briefing:

·  Full Name;

·  Residential Address;

·  Date of birth;

·  Nationality;

·  Drivers licence state of issue or passport expiry date;

·  Drivers licence number or passport number;

·  Vehicle registration number; and

·  Contact mobile telephone number.

Minimum Form and Content and Conditions for Participation Requirements:

To submit a conforming Tender:

· the Tender must be submitted in accordance with clause 3.1(a) (including submission to the address specified in the Tender Documents by the Closing Time and Date described in the Tender Documents);

· the Tender must satisfy each minimum form and content requirement in clause 3.1(b); and

· the Tenderer must satisfy each condition for participation in clause 3.1(c),

of the Tender Conditions, set out in the Tender Documents. The evaluation criteria are described in clause 4 of the Tender Conditions, set out in the Tender Documents.  Further information, including how to obtain a copy of the Tender Documents, is available from AusTender, the Australian Government's tender website, located at www.tenders.gov.au.
