Provision of Telemetry and Data Processing Support to Aerospace Operation Support Group, RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA
The Commonwealth requires a Contractor to provide one or more telmetry technicians to maintain and operate ground telmetry systems for Aerospace System Engineering SQN (ASE SQN), on site at RAAF Base Edinburgh and on deployment locations within Australia.
The contractor is to provide fully trained and competent Telmetry Technicians on the following ground telemetry reception and processing assets:
(i) L3 Communications Vista System 550 Telemetry Processor.
(ii) Malibu Research HD20 Portable Tracking Antenna.
(iii) Malibu Research HD40 Tracking Antenna.
(iv) Microdyne RCB4000 Telemetry Receivers.
The contractor should make available telmetry technicians, who when given access to manufacturers manuals, orders and instructions, and by virtue of their acquired skills and technical knowledge, will perform operations and first line maintenance on the following equipment:
(i) L3 Communications VCU700 video downlink.
(ii) Racal Heim D20d, D20f, D20ix data recorders.
(iii) Rhode and Schwarz VHF/UHF Multi Channel Transceivers XT452U8.
(iv) Rhode and Schwarz EX230 Receiver system.
(v) ClearCom MicroMatrix Intercom system.
(vi) AstroMed Strip Chart Recorders MT95K2
(vii) Computer workstations running Microsoft Windows XP operating system.
(viii) DRS Technologies Incorporated AN/ASQ-T38A (ground station only) –Time Space Position Information (TSPI) system.
(ix) TrueTime XL-DC Time Code Generator.
(x) ACRA Control Ltd, GXS-500 Ground Station
(xi) Eurocopter Instrumented ARH Ground Station.
(xii) Other equipment acquired by DT Wing during the life of the contract, for use in support of instrumented Flight Test.
The Contractor shall make available telemetry technicians who·
- are eligible for clearance to no lower than SECRET level;
- are Australian citizens; and
- are eligible to receive access to International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITARs).
