Description:

Registrations of Interest are invited from suitably qualified organisations to undertake the role of Managing Contractor for the project at RAAF Base East Sale, Victoria.

The project will involve redevelopment of existing Base facilities inclusive of an engineering services upgrade, construction of a new Air Traffic Control tower and support facilities, construction of a new consolidated physical training facility, refurbishment of School of Air Warfare facilities, refurbished and new flight-line maintenance facilities, a new chapel and community support facilities, demolition works, construction of new commercial facilities, a new 25m zero-template firing range and passive security works.

The Managing Contractor will generally be responsible for procuring the necessary subconsultants and subcontractors to undertake the full design, construction and commissioning of the Works. The total value of the project is estimated to be in the order of $90 million.

Conditions for Participation:

The National Code of Practice for the construction Industry and the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Proactice for the Construction Industry, reissued June 2006, apply to this project.

The Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme authorised by the Building and Construction Industyr Improvement Act 2005 (Cth) and the Building and Construction industry Iprovement (Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 applies to this contract.

Timeframe for Delivery:

The project's timeframe indicates award of the Managing Contractor Contract by August 2009 and completion of construction by December 2013.
