P0004 National Airfields Maintenance Works - RAAF Base Darwin and RAAF Base Townsville
The project is broken into two (2) Construction Packages as follows:
Construction Package 1 - RAAF Base Darwin:
- Milling, overlay and associated works to Taxiways A1-A6;
- Milling, overlay and associated works to Taxiway B1;
- Milling, overlay and associated works to Taxiways C1 –C4;
- Milling, overlay and associated works to Taxiway D;
- Milling, overlay and associated works to Taxiway E1;
- Milling, overlay and associated works to Duct crossings;
- ALER 11 and ALER 29 AGL Works ;
- AGL Fieldworks (Pit and Duct Installation); and
- AGL Fieldworks (Light Installation).
Construction Package 2– RAAF Base Townsville:
- Milling, overlay and associated works to Helicopter Apron; and
- Milling, overlay and associated works to Main Apron.
The Tenderer may submit a Tender in respect of one or both of the Construction Packages.
To gain a copy of the tender documents:

- You will then be sent an “Disclaimer and Confidentiality Agreement” for signing;
- Once you have executed the document fax to 02 6162 0494 or post to “The P0004 NAP Contract Administrator, Coffey Projects (Australia) Pty Ltd, 17 Torrens St Braddon ACT 2612” (emailed Agreements will not be accepted); and
Upon receipt of an executed agreement the RFT documents will be posted to your Businesses street address.
To submit a conforming Tender:
- the Tender must be submitted in accordance with clause 3.1(a) (including submission to the address specified in the Tender Documents by the Closing Time and Date described in the Tender Documents);
- the Tender must satisfy each minimum form and content requirement in clause 3.1(b); and
- the Tenderer must satisfy each condition for participation in clause 3.1(c), of the Tender Conditions, set out in the Tender Documents. The evaluation criteria are described in clause 4 of the Tender Conditions, set out in the Tender Documents. Further information, including how to obtain a copy of the Tender Documents, is available from AusTender, the Australian Government's tender website, located at www.tenders.gov.au.
Industry Briefings:
- Industry Briefings are planned for RAAF Base Darwin on Wednesday 06 February 2013: 8.00 am to 11.00 am (Darwin time) followed by RAAF Base Townsville Thursday 07 February 2013: 10.00 am to 12.30 pm (Townsville time);
- the following details will be required for up to four of the Tenderer personnel that will attend the industry briefing;
· Full Name;
· Residential Address;
· date of birth;
· nationality;
· drivers licence state of issue / passport expiry date;
· drivers licence number or passport number;
· vehicle registration number; and
· contact mobile number.
The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry and the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry August 2009, apply to this project.
The Australian Government Fair Work Principles apply to this procurement.
The Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme authorised by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005 (Cth) and the Building and Construction Industry Improvement (Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 (Cth) applies to this contract.
Please note that the Works and the project described in the Tender Documents are subject to the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth) and approval from the Commonwealth Government being obtained.
The works are anticipated to commence in April 2013 with completion in November 2013.
