The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is seeking tender application for the development, implementation and maintenance of a web-based resource that will supply information on cereal rust resistance genetic resource to the Australian industry. Access to timely, current and comprehensive information is key to the efficient adoption of pre-breeding outputs into breeding programs.

GRDC has co-invested with its research partners in the Australian Cereal Rust Control Program (ACRCP) for over 20 years. This program has developed a wealth of genetic resources that, along with associated data, have been utilised by Australian and international breeders to improve the rust resistance of modern Australia wheat varieties. This tender is to develop a web-based resource to provide ready access to a single source of data from the next phase of the ACRCP, as well as previous phases of investment. The web-based resource is expected to be utilised by both the breeding and pre-breeding communities.
