RFT 007-2010 ICT Sourcing Program Project Managers

The ATO has one of the largest Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environments in Australia which has been largely outsourced since 1999. ICT sourcing is looking to fill a number of new Canberra based Project Manager roles to assist with the implementation of the IT Sourcing Strategy.
The Project Managers will be responsible for planning, executing and finalising the following projects within the EUC transition team:
a. the Enterprise Service Management Centre (ESMC) contract which covers the implementation of a single enterprise-wide 1st level Service Desk, service management tools and processes replacing the existing multiple Help Desks, and
b. the End User Technology and Support (EUTS) contract that covers providing services and assets relating to the desktop/SOE, service management and integration, 2nd level Service Desk and security.
Tenderers will refer to Clause 5.4 Commonwealth Policy and Legislation and in particular sub clauses 5.4.5 to 5.4.6 in relation to new legislation and the Australian Government Fair Work Principles.
It is a condition for participation that the offered hourly rate does not exceed $165.00 GST inclusive.
The ATO is capping the number of hours worked per day to ‘professional hours’ which are calculated on a normal work day being 8 hours per day. If the Specified Personnel work more than 8 hours, they will only be paid up to a maximum of 8 hours per day and if they work less than 8 hours per day they will be paid for each hour worked.
It is a condition for participation that any Agency wishing to respond to this RFT can submit up to 3 candidates only. Any submissions in excess of 3 will not be considered by the ATO.
Initial contract from 1 June 2010 - 30 June 2011. Three (3) x six (6) month extension options available.
