Pre Release Notice – Request for Inclusion on the Multi-Use List for Data Analytics
This is a pre-release notice only to provide advance notice of the opportunity. Prospective applicants are advised that the Commonwealth of Australia, as represented by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), currently anticipates that on or around 7 January 2015, it will release a request for applications for inclusion on the ATOs multi-use list for data analytics, via AusTender.
One of the priorities in the ATO corporate plan 2014 – 18 is to make smarter use of data to improve decisions, services and compliance. In order to achieve this priority the ATO has commenced a Smarter Data Program to increase capability (Program). As part of the Program, the ATO is working to identify improvements to existing data acquisition and exchange processes and also test new capabilities for storing, profiling and registering data.
The ATO has established a research and development lab (sandpit environment) (the RAD Lab) where ideas can be tested for feasibility before considering deployment into a production environment. The RAD Lab is one platform used by the ATO to quickly test new technology, architectures, data, analytical methods and/or processes to assist the ATO to achieve business outcomes.
The proposed data analytics multi-use list will be established to assist the ATO to procure solutions including but not limited to goods, services, software and hardware to support the Program. Please note that the Close Date and Time stated in this notice is when the pre-release notice will cease to be published and does not reflect the actual Closing Time for potential applicants to lodge their submission. The request for inclusion will be published in a separate approach to market notice on AusTender and will include the Close Date and Time for potential applicants to lodge a submission.
As this is only a notice no clarification will be provided.
