JP2008PH5B2 - Wideband Satellite Capability Satellite Ground Station East (SGS-E) & Network Management System (NMS)
In April 2014, the JP2008PH5B2 Project Office advised that the Request for Tender (RFT) for SGS-E and the NMS would be released on 15 May 2014.
Due to ongoing capability requirement definition exercises the Project Office has deferred the RFT release. This delay is necessary to ensure that the information released to prospective tenderers is as accurate as possible.
The Commonwealth will adopt an approach of soliciting for a single Prime Contractor to deliver both SGS-E and the NMS. Accordingly, a single RFT for both acquisition and support of the JP2008PH5B2 Materiel System will be released in June/July 2014.
As previously advised, Unclassified RFT documentation will be made available via AusTender. Other supporting documentation classified ‘For Official Use Only’ (FOUO) and above, will only be released by the Commonwealth when certain conditions relating to personnel, ICT or facility security clearances are met by organisations and individuals who wish to access the documents.
Tenderers who have not previously made contact, are requested to email the Project Office to initiate the process for obtaining authorisation for Tenderer personnel to access classified elements of the RFT. Tenderers should note that, where required, the verification of security clearances can take some time and is beyond the control of the Project Office. There is no undertaking that verification of a security clearance will be complete at the time the RFT is released.
All requests for classified RFT documentation are to be directed via email to the Project Office.
The Commonwealth reserves the right to not proceed with the Joint Project 2008 Phase 5B2 RFT in whole or part.
