Description:

The Commonwealth proposes to award a contract to a single prime contractor to deliver Comprehensive Maintenance Services (CMS) in accordance with the requirements of this Request for Tender (RFT) documentation, for Defence establishments located in the Defence Support Northern NSW region.

Defence Support Northern NSW (DS-NNSW) is one of five geographic regions within the Defence Support Group (DSG) that provide a range of support services to Defence. This region incorporates major Defence establishments located at Singleton, Williamtown and Adamstown.

The scope of this CMS contract covers the provision of estate maintenance services, along with the provision of a property service centre and management services. Estate maintenance services include the following:

Performance-based maintenance of Fixed Plant & Equipment;
General Estate Works Maintenance;
Engineering Operations
Expert advice

Other Instructions:

An industry briefing will be held for potential tenderers on Monday 12 April 2010 at Newcastle Airport Conference Room in NSW. Attendance at the industry briefing is strongly encouraged. Site visits to key Defence establishments in the region will follow on the afternoon of 12 April 2010 and on Tuesday 13 April 2010. Details of the industry briefing and site visits are provided at Part 2 of this RFT. Prospective tenderers wishing to attend the industry briefing and site visits must advise the Activity Information Contact for this RFT as soon as possible but at the latest by 1700 hours (ACT Local time) on Thursday 8 April 2010.

Conditions for Participation:

Tenderers must meet all the mandatory requirements stated in clause 1.2 of Part 2 of this RFT.

Tenders must comply with all the minimum content and format requirements stated in clauses 1.22 and 1.23 of Part 2 of this RFT.

Timeframe for Delivery:

This contract is scheduled to be awarded in August 2010 and the commencement of contracted services is expected to be 1 November 2010 for a minimum period of three years. Performance-based contract extension options up to a maximum of three years, may be offered.
