National Carillon Instrument Maintenance
Provision of Musical and Mechanical Servicing for the Carillon Instrument and Practice Clavier.
This includes but not limited to:
- 55 cast bronze bells / clappers and their functional operation
- management and maintenance of the Westminster Chimes
- maintenance of the main Clavier and the practice Clavier
- Maintenance, adjustment and fine tuning of the transmission wires and supporting frames
Works are to be conducted in accordance with the service guides and specifications of the requirements.
Reports and regular meetings will be a requirement of the delivery.
A mandatory industry briefing will be held on site at 10am Monday 2 May 2016 . A representative from each tenderer and their nominated subcontractors must be present. Registrations will close at 10:10am sharp on the day of the briefing. No further registrations will be accepted post this time.
The engagement will be for an initial period of 3 years with 2 consecutive 2 years extension options from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2019. Each extension option will be negotiated between the parties at the end of each period.
