John Gorton Building Carpark Upgrade Construction Head Contractor Works

The Construction Works for the John Gorton Carpark Upgrade involve the construction of flexible pavements, kerbs, footpaths, traffic control devices and other landscape elements to improve the amenity of the Precinct. The Works will be carried out in existing public areas and will generally involve the following:
a. Excavation, removal and disposal of the ground as required to achieve the lines and levels shown on the Drawings;
b. Supply, place and compact suitable fill or other select material to achieves the lines and levels shown on the drawings;
c. Construction of flexible pavements;
d. Construction of new and modifications to existing kerbs, pavement and slabs;
e. Construction of a new public precinct with high quality materials and finishes;
f. Installation of signage and traffic control devices;
g. Erection of street light poles;
h. Performance of preparatory works and coordination to facilitate any modifications or relocations of existing pay parking ticket machines and supporting technology and services by others;
i. Construction of new, and protection or relocation of existing, underground services;
j. Installation of stormwater harvesting tree planting beds and associated mature tree plantings;
k. High quality landscaping works including irrigation;
l. Pavement Marking; and
m. Remediation of existing surfaces damaged as a result of the works.
The Construction Works will be carried out while maintaining access to the John Gorton Building, its Basement and surrounding land.
