The Australian Federal Police (AFP) has negotiated an Agreement for Lease (AFL) and Lease for the Edmund Barton Building (EBB) to house its National Headquarters. The EBB is a significant landmark building on the edge of the Parliamentary Triangle and Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, ACT. The AFP is inviting tenders for the role of Managing Contractor to undertake the fitout of the National Headquarters.

Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation SchemeIt is a requirement of this project that the persons contracted to undertake the building work be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme, established by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005, at the time of entering into the contract for the building work and while the building work is being carried out. National Code of Practice for the Construction IndustryThe National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in accordance with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, revised September 2005, reissued June 2006, apply to this project. Financial AssessmentTenderers must provide acceptance to a third party review to rate the Tenderer's financial standing as acceptable/satisfactory or better.
