Request for Tender for the Provision of Network Task Chairs and Front of House Seating
Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart
Human Services is seeking to establish a standing offer arrangement with one or more suppliers for the supply, delivery and installation of network task chairs and front of house seating (Seating).
Provision of the Requirement may be required for any of the network of sites used by Human Services anywhere throughout Australia. A list of sites (current as at 06 February 2014) is at Schedule 6.
Seating is defined in the following categories as:
- task chairs;
- visitors’ and occasional sled based chairs; and
- tub chairs.
Tenderers must be able to supply the whole Requirement (including all categories of Seating) to any of the network of sites used by Human Services anywhere throughout Australia. The Requirement will also include, from time to time, design and manufacture of customised and purpose built seating (generally for customer waiting areas), in accordance with the Deed. Tenderers must be able to supply these services.
Further details of the Requirement are set out in the Statement of Requirement at Schedule 1, the Seating Requirements at Schedule 2, Attachment C, Appendix A and Human Services' Sites List at Schedule 6.
The following items are not within the scope of this RFT:
- special needs chairs, i.e. chairs required for individual staff members as a result of workplace health assessments;
- loose furnishings; and
- workstations
Tenderers must satisfy the Conditions for Participation. If a Tenderer does not satisfy the Conditions for Participation, the Tender will be excluded from consideration (as outlined in this Schedule 2).
The Conditions for Participation are that, at the time of lodgement of its Tender, the Tenderer must not be:
- precluded from tendering for Australian Government funded work or specifically excluded from participating in this tender process; or
- subject to a judicial decision against it relating to employee entitlements, not including decisions under appeal, that it has not paid in full.
Tenderers must meet the Minimum Content and Format Requirements. If a Tenderer does not satisfy the Minimum Content and Format Requirements, the Tender will be excluded from consideration (as outlined in this Schedule 2).
The Minimum Form and Content Requirements are:
- the Tender must include a substantially completed declaration by the Tenderer in the form of Attachment A to Schedule 3 – Tenderer Response Schedules;
- the Tender, including all attachments and supporting technical data, must be written in English;
- unless otherwise specified in the Statement of Requirement, all measurement in the Tender must be expressed in Australian legal units of measurement; and
iv. the Tender must state prices in Australian dollars.
