Defence Information Environment - Deployable Wide Area Network (D-WAN)
Replacement D-WAN architecture with an IP-based network capable of using public IP-based communications infrastructures such as mobile broad band, ADSL, & ISP access via 802.3 and 802.11 connections, & military communications bearers such as LOS 802.16 links & MILSATCOM. The ATM requires design, build, and configuration of the D-WAN. The Support Contract requires the Contractor to be the D-WAN Design Authority & provide Maintenance and Engineering Support, and have input into Supply, General, Operating, Supply and Training Support.
All documentation should reference CIOG028/11.
Three RFT documents, the Concept of Operations, Functional Performance Specifications and Site Plans are classified and participants handling the documents must hold appropriate security clearances. These documents will be issued separate to the main RFT package as security clearances will need to be confirmed before their release. Participants should have a track record in the development of complex wide area networks and their management systems including cyber security management.
The Commonwealth may, in its absolute discretion, exclude a tender from further consideration if the Commonwealth considers that the tenderer does not comply with the requirements for security, probity, evaluation and minimum content and format set out in the Conditions of Tender.
Tender evaluation is planned to conclude in late Sep early Oct 11 with contract negotiations completed by Nov 11. The first delivery of equipment is planned for 4th quarter 2012.
