The Department of Defence requires a Standing Offer Panel Arrangement for the purchase of Office Furniture (Category A), Living-In Accommodation Furniture and Whitegoods (Category B), and Household Furniture Hire (Category C).

Category A consists of seven (7) sub-categories: (A1) Workstations, Desks and Workstation Accessories; (A2) Task, Ergonomic and Other Chairs; (A3) Lounge and Reception Seating; (A4) Storage Units and Bookshelves; (A5) Tables; (A6) Ergonomic Furniture (Sit Stand Desktop and Electric Sit Stand Workstations); and (A7) Miscellaneous Furniture (Coat, Hat and Umbrella Stands).

Category B consists of six (6) sub-categories: (B1) Beds and Mattresses; (B2) Accommodation Furniture; (B3) Dining Furniture; (B4) Whitegoods Domestic; (B5) Whitegoods Commercial; and (B6) Televisions, DVD Players/Recorders, PVR Recorders.

Category C consists of Household Furniture and Other Items for furnishing Defence managed premises.

This Standing Offer Panel Arrangement is one of a number of methods that Defence acquire Categories A and B type Office and Living-In Accommodation Furniture and Whitegoods. Other methods consist of Major Capital Works; Defence Estate Managed Works Program; and Leased Premises.

This Standing Offer Panel will be accessible by other Commonwealth Non-Corporate and Corporate entities, upon request.

Suppliers may tender for all or selected sub-categories within Categories A and B.

Conditions of Partcipation

The Commonwealth will exclude a tender from further consideration if the Commonwealth considers that the tender does not comply with the Commonwealth's security requirements set out in clauses 2.6 and 2.7 of Part  1 - Conditions of Tender.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The Commonwealth will exclude a tender from further consideration if the Commonwealth considers that the tender does not comply with the following two essential requirements as identified in clauses 1.1 and 1.2 of the Attachment A - Statement of Work to the Conditions of Deed.

1. The Contractor must be able to provide Office Furniture, Living-In Accommodation Furniture and Whitegoods on a national basis to the locations listed in Appedix 1 to Attachment A - Statement of Work.

2. The Contractor shall provide a Product Catalogue (pdf and/or online) with the following information:

a. Specific images of each product;

b. Product Code (for ordering purposes); and

c. Specfications, including standards and warranties, of each product.

The initial period of this Standing Offer Panel is four (4) years, with two (2) extension options of up to 24 months each, at the Commonwealth's discretion.
