Provision of Injury Management Services for APS Employees in Defence

This activity will assist Defence achieve an optimal return to work outcome for the benefit of the employee and the organisation. The categories of services to be provided under this panel are Medical Assessment Services, Workplace Rehabilitation Services and External Case Management services.
In Defence, Case Managers are responsible for facilitating the early, safe and sustainable return to work of ill or injured Defence APS employees who may have a compensable or non compensable medical condition. Defence Case Managers arrange for the provision of appropriate injury management services to maximise durable return to work outcomes. Case Managers are based at locations around Australia and report through regional team leaders to a central team in Canberra.
