Request for Tender for the provision of an Australian Travel Document Issuance System.

Through this RFT process, DFAT is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced organisation, acting as a Prime System Integrator, to provide services and products to replace the existing passports issuance system through the development of an Australian Travel Document Issuance System.
DFAT will hold an industry briefing concerning this RFT. Details of the industry briefing are:

Attendance at the industry briefing is optional. Tenderers are required to pre-register their details. Representation will be restricted to four (4) people per Tenderer. Tenderers should register via email with the Contact Officer no later than 2pm ACT local time Thursday 6 October 2011. The RFT outlines the information required by the Contact Officer when registering.
DFAT will exclude a Tender from further consideration if at any time before a contract is executed DFAT considers that the Tenderer does not meet any one or more of the following conditions for participation:
a) the Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time (see clause 8.2.3);
b) the Tenderer (and any of its proposed subcontractors) is not named on the list of persons and entities designated as a terrorist under the Charter of United Nations (Terrorism and Dealing with Assets) Regulations 2008; or
c) the Tenderer has an Approved AIP Plan that covers this RFT process and is current at the Closing Time.
It is anticipated that services will commence in mid 2012, with completion in mid 2017.
