Kakadu National Park (KNP) owns and operates various vehicles, plant and equipment that are utilised in undertaking park management activities. Kakadu has five ranger stations geographical distributed throughout the park. Each of these ranger stations has a workshop. Three of the ranger stations, Headquarters, Mary River and South Alligator have vehicle hoists.

The exact number, make and model of vehicles, plant and equipment to be maintained may vary during the course of the contract.

The majority of services are expected to be performed at the Head Quarters Ranger Station, however, the successful respondent may also be required to complete the services at other ranger stations or other locations on Park.

Respondents must attend one of the mandatory site inspections that are being held.  Two site inspection times are available. Respondents must meet at Kakadu National Park HQ, Kakadu Highway via Jabiru Northern Territory, meeting Room on either:

 

11am CST on Thursday 17th November 2016; or

 

11am CST on Tuesday 29th November 2016.

 

The mandatory site inspections are anticipated to take 2 hours. Attendees must bring all associated food and water required. Attendees must wear appropriate clothing for the conditions and follow the safety precautions.

 

Potential respondents intending to attend the mandatory site inspection must register by emailing the Contact Officer on or before Wednesday 16th November 2016 for the first inspection and Monday 28th November 2016 for the second inspection.

The respondent exists as a legal entity.

 

The respondent provides certificates of currency for the following insurances:

 

  1. Workers’ compensation and employer’s liability insurance.
  2. Public liability insurance covering all Liabilities in respect of any injury to or death of any person who is not the Contractor’s Personnel at the time of the occurrence (Note to respondents: DNP’s policy is to require a minimum of $20 million per occurrence).
  3. Works insurance covering all loss and damage to the Contractor’s plant and equipment, for at least the replacement value of all plant and equipment used or provided for use by the Contractor (except in respect of plant and equipment owned by DNP.
  4. Offers will only be accepted from Respondents who have attended a mandatory site inspection.

 

Submission of a duly signed copy of the Respondent’s Declaration in Schedule 6.

 

The respondent is not, at the time the respondent submits its offer:

 

  1. precluded from tendering for Australian Government funded work;

subject to a judicial decision against them relating to employee entitlements, not including decisions under appeal, and has not paid the claim.
