The Post 45 Galleries Exhibition will be an interpretive and multimedia rich experience with the multimedia component requiring the large and tightly integrated multimedia to be programmed to operate as a whole rather than as individual multimedia productions.

There are a mix of major iconic and object theatre installations and smaller audiovisual, visual and audio only productions integrated within the exhibition. In all there are more than 30 productions to be integrated.

Multimedia hardware has been designed and specified to fit with the current mix of multimedia hardware currently used in the Memorial to ensure ease of access, availability of spares, maintain standard maintenance procedures and to provide common interface protocols with the existing multimedia control infrastructure.

Details relevant to specified equipment, control systems and multimedia layouts within the exhibition design are detailed in the attached documentation –

  • 2007-0020 Technical Description
  • 2007-0020 Technical Specification
  • 2007-0020 Hardware supply chart
  • 2007-0020 Combined Schematic diagram for multimedia installation
  • 2007-0020 Power & Data Floor plan

The Post 1945 Galleries Exhibition Project is being delivered in three main construction stages, these being Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Works.

Multimedia is an important and fundamental component of the Tertiary Works stages for the Project.

The Tender for Multimedia Hardware is structured in 2 parts which are –

Part A: Multimedia Hardware Supply

Part B: Multimedia Hardware Integration and Installation

It is the intent of the Multimedia Hardware tender that prospective tenderers have the opportunity to provide tender proposals for either Part A of the tender (multimedia hardware supply or Part B (integration/installation role) or a tender proposal that responds to both Part A and Part B of the Tender. Schedules detailing the scope and nature of submissions are attached to this Tender.

It should be noted however that tenders will be assessed independently and awarded separately. If tenderers choose to submit for both tenders this should be clearly articulated in their proposal and in particular outlining the cost benefit analysis outlining the advantages to the Memorial if the Memorial should consider awarding both tenders to a single entity.

It is important that tenderers respond and complete fully the appended tender schedules.
