Defence project J0092 (this Project) will provide the infrastructure required to support the deliverables of the L3025 Phase 1 capability project, as well as rectify the identified infrastructure deficit in respect to the Special Operations Engineer Regiment's (SOER's) present-day operational requirements. To accomplish this, it is anticipated that the Works will include, but not be limited to, the following:

(a) Joint Operations Room – a secure communications facility to be built as a first floor extension of an existing building, to accommodate approximately 18 personnel, to support SOER deployed activities. This scope item also includes all necessary decanting, staging and/or redistribution required to optimise the existing building’s workspace, all required voice and data networks and video conferencing.

(b) Equipment Ready Room – for storage and maintenance of analytical equipment that must be kept in standby state, to be delivered by retrofitting an existing laboratory.

(c) Training Space – to provide the required area to train personnel to work on and use deployable analytical equipment, to be delivered by retrofitting an existing drying room.

(d) Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician equipment — a lockable storage solution for individual EOD technician equipment, to be located within the existing troop bays, in such a way that existing storage is rationalised and not reduced.

(e) Q-Store Storage – additional and modified medium term storage racking for new and existing SOER items, to be located within the existing Q-Store.
