CSIRO is seeking a Tenderer with which to establish a long term strategic relationship for the delivery of innovative cost effective solutions that deliver the CSIRO desktop and server services. A primary driver of this tender is the requirement for CSIRO to reduce the cost of delivering these services. The Statement of Requirement includes the following:
- Group A - desktop, laptop, server and peripheral hardware procurement plus reporting and account management services. This is currently provided by an external provider;
- Group B - a number of specific desktop services including all moves, adds and changes associated with the desktop hardware. Group B also includes a requirement for project services. These services are currently provided internally by CSIRO staff; and
- Group C – more sophisticated managed services to provide configuration and software management including tools and processes plus PC troubleshooting and support. A number of these services are currently provided internally by CSIRO staff.

The Conditions of Participation for this tender include:·
- A Complete response must be submitted to the Group A requirements. Partial responses to the Group A requirements will not be considered.·
- The Tenderer must have a demonstrable track record of providing similar services, to an organisation of similar size and geographic distribution of CSIRO.·
- The Tenderer must be capable of delivering to, and providing warranty services at all CSIRO sites across Australia.·
- The tenderer must be able to maintain a delivery rate of at least 250 systems per month.·
- The Tenderer must provide reference sites as per Clause 7.6 of the Head Document.

The contract period is 5 years, with the option of two 1 year extensions.
