Description:

NSCSMO is looking at replacing its current Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) Very High Frequency (VHF) radios with Digital Select Calling (DSC) capability radios and this notice is to advise that a Request for Tender (RFT) for the acquisition of a new GMDSS Radio will be released in 2015.

Other Instructions:

Companies interested in this work should register with AUSTENDER in order to receive a RFT release notification once the tender is released to industry.

Conditions for Participation:

All GMDSS radio inspections must be conducted by a service provider holding a current endorsement from an Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) approved classification society to conduct radio surveys. Approved classification societies in use by the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) are: Det Norske Veritas; Germanisher Lloyd: Lloyd's Register.
