Description:

The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (ACBPS) is planning to approach the market early in the 2014/15 financial year through an open Request for Tender (RFT) seeking tenders from suppliers of systems integration services and technology for the development of its new Border Clearance System.The successful Tenderer will have a proven track record of capability integration in similar business demains in order to partner with ACBPS in conducting a Proof of Concept (PoC). The PoC is the first phase of a program to develop a Traveller Clearance System which will replace a number of legacy ICT systems and transition to a more automated and intelligent business model for border processing. Traveller Clearance is the process of determining whether travellers are permitted to cross Australia's borders.

ACBPS is looking to release the RFT to market in July.
